Whooo Loves Reading? Owl Event

March 2, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Saturday, March 2nd – 1:00-2:15PM  and 2:45-4:00PM- Whoooo Loves Reading? A Read Across America/ International Owl Festival Event at the Blountville branch. What do you do when Read Across America Day and The International Owl Festival happen at the same time? You celebrate! Our Blountville branch will be hosting Owl Ridge Raptor Center for a fun and informative program for elementary age kids. They will have live owls with them as they teach about how owls live and how they interact with their surroundings. We’ll have someone on-hand to take photos in our owl photo booth (for a donation to the Raptor Center) in between sessions as a fun souvenir, and will have owl books available for check-out. Due to the popularity of this event, registration is required and limited. You must be an adult SCPL library card holder to register and may only register members of your household. Please call the Blountville branch to register at 423-279-2714 by February 29th.
