Worried about how your 3rd Grader will do on the TCAP tests? Do they need extra reading practice? Do you have a younger child who is anxious to read out loud? Make reading fun by signing up for a 15 minute slot to read to Cinnamon the Dog. She’s a great listener who will never judge. Studies show reading to animals builds children’s confidence in their literary skills.
The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program aims to get children and families reading together! For every 100 books read, participants will receive a book to keep from SCPL. To redeem your prize, turn in a completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten sticker sheet at any branch library.
Participants may sign up online or in the library.
