Reading aloud to a patient listener is great way to practice new reading skills, there is no better listener than therapy dog, JB. Join us at the Colonial Heights branch for our Read to a Therapy Dog program for elementary age student. Please call and reserve your 15-minute reading appointment to sit in a quiet area with JB to practice reading skills, by reading a book of your choice to him. The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program aims to get children and families reading together! For every 100 books read, participants will receive a book to keep from SCPL. To redeem your prize, turn in a completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten sticker sheet at any branch library.
Participants may sign up online or in the library.
