A five-part class designed to help seniors learn the basics of using a computer, browsing the web, and finding reliable information online. Participants must fill out an application for this class, and a limited amount of those will receive a chromebook laptop as part of the program. Participants who already have Chromebooks are also welcome to apply. Please call the Blountville branch for more information at 423-279-2714.
Computer Basics classes: 10/8, 10/10, 10/15 and 10/17 from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
Finding and Evaluating Information Online class: 10/22 from 1:00pm-2:30pm.
The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program aims to get children and families reading together! For every 100 books read, participants will receive a book to keep from SCPL. To redeem your prize, turn in a completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten sticker sheet at any branch library.
Participants may sign up online or in the library.
