In partnership with the Deery Inn the Sullivan County Public Library will be hosting a “sit-down” tour of the Hauntings and History of downtown Blountville on the Friday of Deery Days. This tour is for those who can’t walk the distance, or prefer the comfort of a chair to the outside elements. This tour will consist of storytelling of reported paranormal phenomena in downtown Blountville combined with fascinating, documented historical stories from Blountville’s long history and will have photographs old and new to accompany the tales. The seated tour at the library is free. Some disturbing elements are featured in the stories, such as murder and war, we do not recommend this event for those under 12. Reservations are required, please register in-person, by phone or online by October 15th.
A walking tour (no reservations required) is available for $5 starting at the Archives Office, offered by the Sullivan County Department of Archives and Tourism
