Come meet some of the pets available for adoption and learn about how to care for a pet and what to consider before adopting. Even if you cannot adopt at this time, it is a great opportunity to learn more and get some free snuggles and pets, and it is great for the adoptable animals to be able to be out of the shelter for a bit and socialize.

The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program aims to get children and families reading together! For every 100 books read, participants will receive a book to keep from SCPL. To redeem your prize, turn in a completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten sticker sheet at any branch library.
Participants may sign up online or in the library.
